Factory turbo install question

I've got a 92 F250 4x4 ZF5, and recently bought a used factory turbo that came with everything-valve cover, exhaust, airbox, etc. I checked over the turbo and it looks to be alright. Ive got a boost and pyro gauge installed in the truck. Also have the ATS 3" downpipe to go along with it. What i would like to know is what kind of clearance issues am I going to run into when installing the turbo, doesn't look like there is a whole lotta room between the firewall. All input would be greatly appreciated to let me know what issues i will be running into, and any tips or suggestions you guys would recommend before i start the install...

The turbo will fit fine, but the 3" downpipe is real tight.
Method 1.
ATS directions say to do this.
There is a seam where the firewall and floor pans join.
You need to bend the seam over so the downpipe fits without rubbing the cab.
A 2" pipe 3 feet long, blocks and pry bars will get the job done.

Method 2.
I did a 3" downpipe on my 86.
I put a 2" body lift on mine, I have room for a 4 or 5 inch downpipe after I installed the body lift.
A 1" body lift would have given me plenty of room for the 3" downpipe.

Thanks, then it doesnt seem like it will be too bad of a job. I was just looking under it a couple days ago worrying that the downpipe wouldnt fit, not sure which method i'll use just yet but it is nice to know that it is possible to accomplish!

Fitting the down pipe is not really that hard, some you can 'sawsall' slots in the seam and just bend back. Others you can use a sissor jack or a small enerpack hydraulic ram. Just make sure you have a good "figers width" clearance.
