air bag light
i noticed the other day that my air bag light has come on. it comes on for like 5 seconds then off for like another 5 seconds. i dont remember doin anything bad

On my '99 the airbag switch had a short in it that made the light stay on indicating the switch was off. I used to have to pull the key out, shut the truck off, turn the switch to "off" then to "on" again then restaart the truck just to get it to go off.

When does it come on and when does it go off, and does it stay off? It's normal for the air bag light to come on for 5-7 seconds when you first start the truck, as long as it goes off and doesn't flash after that time.

That light is the Restraints Control Module telling you that it detects an error and the air bag system is OFF. Did you check the connectors under the seats and does the passenger air bag off light turn on and off with the key?
