69 F250 4X4 conversion
I recently acquired a 2 wheel drive 1969 F250 with a 390 engine. I know it can be converted to 4 wheel drive, but am unsure of the best way to go about it. Can anyone tell me the simplest procedure (from what vehicles to get the front end, transfer case, steering column, etc.), or help get me pointed in the right direction to find information? I'm pretty new to this and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know how much you are planning on spending, but the easiest way would be to find a donor 4x4 to put your engine and body on. This would eliminate having to buy parts piece by piece. I bought a donor 78 4x4 with a blown engine for $400. This is just my opinion, there may be better ways, but this worked for me.

I'm trying to do this as well. I managed to get a donor for 500$ but this is about as far as I have gotten. I have notice that the rear mounts on the cab are different i.e. the 2wd has the mounting brackets on the inside of the frame where the 4wd has them on the outside. It looks like there is a premarked slug in the cab chassis for the 4wd orientation. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
