I am currently using the Superchips Microtuner in my 2000 psd. In reading posts, the DP-6 position chip seems to be a popular choice. I was wandering if there is a noticeable difference between the two? I do a fair amount of pulling, so I have my microtuner on the low setting.
What does a LOW setting mean? What does a HIGH setting mean? I am trying to learn about these mods. Thanks
Medic - on the SCMT - I think the tunes are considered 70, 90, and 110 - also refered to as Tow, Performance-Tow, and Race I think - if memory serves me correctly from my SCMT-owning days!
ie, more boost = more power, more boost = more heat ie the need for a better way for the air to escape (bigger exhaust) and a means to keep an eye on everything (gauges)
im in the market for a chip/tuner of some kind..i was looking at the bullydog powerpup d-loader..its within my price range as i dont want to spend too much, but i still want a good power increase out of my 02 F-250 7.3..and i read something bout getting gauges is a smart idea when getting a chip and stuff..what EXACT gauges do i need..i need ot know what i exactly need so i can start pricing some stuff out..and what gauges would you guys recomend?..thanks for any info!

the most important is probably the pyrometer so that you can watch your EGTs

Soooooooooo.....if I just simply want to use one for the "down" setting position to get better mileage, would the exhaust need to changed from what is stock?
