On my 99a F-250 I have some type of rubber or plastic piece on the passender side front wheel area that keeps mud and debris from being thrown up in the front bumper. I have another one on the back passenger side and I am missing the other two. What is this peice called so I can look for replacements.
I'd say its definitely aftermarket - I don't think I have ever seen anything like that for sale, or ON a truck, on the front end anyway.... but it IS a good idea! Any time I run through a little bit of mud - it fills up that cavern in behind the front bumper!
The ones for the rear wheel opening should be a factory part - mine came from the factory with what you describe at the front and back, of the back tire.

Good...now we are making progress. I am missing one of them from the back also. What exactly are those things called so that I may start my searching for them. They are handy as all can be as I have started to develop rust in the front bumper area from the missing front one. Thanks!!
