How do I remove the dash pad? And if anyone knows the what each wire into the column is on a 69 F250, I could use some info. I looked at the tech article and my truck, and the info in it does not match.
Thanks
AW
Aaron, click on my gallery, I turned on the wiring diagrams for you (if someone doesn't make me turn them off again). Look at the exterior lights and turn signals diagrams, at the right-hand side where there is a "M" circled, that's the connector at the bottom of the column.
can't help you with the wiring but, as for the dash, you'll have to remove the gauges, ashtray, radio and glove compartment to get access to nuts that hold the dashpad in place.
Unless you are replacing the dashpad with a new one be really careful when removing the nuts. A shot of penetrating oil will work wonders on them. I broke off like three of the studs that hold mine on because of my impatience.

The dash on my 67 was trashed, and originally i was thinking about replacing it. It's rather easy to do, you'll have to pull out the instrument panel, the ash tray, and the glove box in order to get to all of the bolts. There are about 8 across the top of the pad which are pretty easy to get to. The bolts that kicked my rear were the ones in the corners of the dash pad all the way to the front of the dash. under the pad though you'll have a beautiful painted metal dash. I pulled the vent grilles out of the old nasty dash pad, painted up the grilles and screwed them on to the beautiful dash underneath, then I patched up all the holes from where the dash pad attached and painted the whole thing again. The overall end product is rather amazing.
