I am in the middle of putting on my SS HPX, the problem that I have run into is that it seems to be about a 1/4 inch to long. So these things take some teaking to make them fit right?
HELP
I believe it's made that way so it will fit when installed. Should flex to allow you to get it in. Be careful with the O-rings. Read the previous HPX leak posts on this page if you haven't already. Take your time, good luck.
well i got it in, when they say have patience they arent joking, now I see where the rubber line would be much easier to install. I havent driven it yet so we will have to see.
Installed mine yesterday, total of about 20 minutes, didnt take anything off except the plastic Powerstroke cover (sure wish I had one of those stainless ones) everything went very well and the better half rode in it after and actually said "Man that did make a difference in the sound and smothness of the engine". I told her "Yep I do all these for you" hahaha
yea the stainless one takes a little longer than 20 mintues but no big deal.
I hope mine gets a little less noise and runs smoother.
I will tell my wife the same...haha
LOL I met the stainless Powerstroke covers they look sharp. I did install the stainless HPX. Does anyone know how I can use the fuel milege excuse for one of those stainless covers to tell the wife???
