I did it again! Went to another town to pick up another free hot-tub and the people next door had a old Ford truck sitting in their back yard. Went and talked to the old lady that owns the land and she let me have the truck...with a good title! What I got: 1962 ford 1 1/2ton cabover truck, complete with the key in the ign. She said it ran fine when her husband died 2 years ago. I didn't have my dig camera with me, but will post pics next week when I bring it home. My wife says old Fords are like puppys...............they keep following me home!
Good score. What's up with this crap? I search for Big Jobs, the whole world over, and can't even find parts, you go some where not even looking for a truck, and get them given to you. Am I in the wrong part of Oregon? Spread some of that luck my way.
If that bad boy has a Y-block with ram horns, I'm jealous! Especially since I just paid a small fortune for a pair on U-pay...
Got tired of driving the back roads around Fort Worth, peeking around farmer's fields looking for that very kind of truck (just for the darn RH manifolds...). Maybe I should start following you around Oregon!
Just got around to bringing "The Beast" home. It is a C-750 and has had the engine changed to a "72" 391FT/w 4bbl. Put in a new starter and she started right up and purrs like a kitten! I also put brand new tires on her and will drive it home tomorrow. I posted some pics of it in my gallery, will post more pics when I get her home and cleaned up. I've got a twin boom wrecker body I think I'm gonna mount on it. Never know when one of the NWC members will need a tow

This truck has been converted to a 72 391 FT. I know wmjoe1953 is gonna hate me...........but I just found another one...........and it does have ram-horns on it! Going to look at it today! [sorry joe ]
Fab, you ever think of playing the lottery? I'll split the winnings with you.
No thanks My state [Oregon] makes $800,000,000 a year on their lottery, if they upped our taxes that much the State Capital would be burned to the ground! Yet people willingly spend their last dollar on a ticket...........go figure.
I'll keep my "luck" in my pocket, and my eyes open for old Ford stuff
Sorry folks but my thoughts: Lottery= Taxing The Stupid
