I have not been able to drive my Escort for the past week and a half. It will not start, the problem is "No Spark". I have either replaced or checked the following items.
Coil Pack Replaced
ECU (computer replaced)
Plugs and wires are new
I have the Camshaft Position Sensor and the Crankshaft Position Sensors as the next items to check. Should I even go there? How can I check them without removing them. The manuals always talk about checking while car is running, and obviously I can't do that. What kind of resistance reading will these parts have? ANy help guidance would be great. Thanks
I replaced it (Camshaft Sensor) and its alive, but I think during all of the troubleshooting/hunting and getting the car to start I have broke something else, here goes It ran this AM and the dash lights etc... were dim, so I measured across the battery terminals and read under 10 VDC and then the car died. So I jumped and it ran then died. What could the problem be? (Alternator/Voltage Regulator) or (Battery). What next?
