Well guys, the project is on hold for a while, things at work are not looking to good. We were told that if things don't pick up soon we will be out of a job no later than December. So my brother and I have to save our money to make the house payment.
All we can do is wait, hope and pray that everything works out. I'm sure we will be taking things apart but not spend money to put them back together. Thanks for all the help and hopefully things get better soon.
Well you are not alone. I am being layed off on friday after 7 1/2 years. I don't need anyone to feel sorry. I think that I'll end up with an even better job eventually. Seems like whenever I work on my trucks my problems and worries go away if only for a while. So don't give up working on the truck. There is plenty to do that does not cost money!
I got laid off last September and found a new, better job last January... that time off was wonderfull. The only thing is that you don't know WHEN that new job is coming along... Just live frugaly and enjoy not having to do the grind...
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Aug-02 AT 06:49 PM (EST)]Yeah man, a few years back I went into the Office one Monday morning to find nothing but phones on the floor. I just took a stretch to buy my house 2 months earlier, and I was getting married a month later. But, if it wasn't for all that, I wouldn't be in the place I'm at today! Tough times are temporary and it sounds like y'all have already taken the best possible attitude, Good Luck!
Not knowing if your going to have a job the next day sucks. I got laid off right before Christmas last year and just recently starting working again 3 weeks ago. It took me that long to find a good job that I thought I would retire from. We came to within 12 hours of losing our house. I'll tell you and everyone, if it wasn't for God Himself, we never would have made it through. It took miracle after miracle to make our bills and keep our heads above water.
The last thing you need is a pitty party. You need to keep your head up and keep looking forward because if you don't, you'll miss seeing the open doors ahead of you. Business could always turn around and get better so don't waste time worrying about it.
