Discs and Pads

It looks like I am going to have to replace my discs and pads (front) in the not too distant future on my truck. I am thinking of getting something a little better than the standard set up, does anyone have any recommendations that are not going to break the bank? I don't want to spend a fortune, but would like to get something fairly decent and an upgrade to the standard.

The truck is a 2000 F-150 Lariat 5.4L. Thanks.

I bought a set of severe duty pads from NAPA for my 99 PSD and they have performed very well. Not sure how much they would be for your 2000 but they should be competitively priced to Fomoco replacements. I would not replace the rotors without making sure of the quality as I understand replacement rotors from Autozone and some of the other parts suppliers are not of very good quality. If you are thinking of installing slotted rotors be prepared to pay about $300+ a pair. Also, you might want to think about draining and refilling the brake fluid if it hasn't been done since the truck was new.
