This Question Is For Anyone Who Has Installed The 2.5" Leveling Kit. How Was The Ride Quality And Handling Affected After Putting The Kit On? Any Complaints? Also, Is Any Kit Any Better Than The Other? I Have Noticed Quite A Few Companys Make Them. I Have Seen Them In Urethane And Aluminum - Is One Better Than The Other?
I have personally used the tuff country aluminum spacer kit, it made my ride horrible . I then switched to daystar which did help the ride a little but I still ended up taking that out also. I have heard people say that the autospring doesn't compress the front as much but I don't know personally. Do some research before you get one it does affect your ride quality.
I installed an Autospring 2" front lift kit on my '04 FX4 SC, it rides great, maybe a tad bit stiffer in the front. I acually like the handle better than before. With the 2" kit my truck is almost level, maybe a 1/4" low in the front. The autospring is all steel, & fairly simple to install.
I put the Autospring 2.5" on my 05 4x4 Screw a few months ago and have had no problems with ride or handling. It actually sat too level and seemed to high in front when I pulled a trailer so I also added the Skyjacker 1.5" add-a-leaf to the rear, now I really like the stance, just a slight rake to the front and the ride is still pretty much stock. Probably going to put 33 or 35 inch tires on this summer to finish the look. Good luck
i put a 2.5 and it didnt work out, when at full turn it doesnt feel good plus the upper control arm is so close to the spring....i took it off and got the skyjacker, world of a difference in height and ride quality.
