I have 99 F250 2WD V10. I search and can't find any answer to the question: which is better: 2" aluminum or 2.5" polyethylene. I know that 2 " comes in plastic as well, but I don't know about weight of the engine and what will it do to either aluminum or plastic.
I had a 99 and a 02 with V10, okay but engine doesn't matter. However mine was 4x4 and I went to ICON for the leaf pack. Give it a shot. My 2 cents I wouldn't go with plastic because it will wear faster and more susceptible to impact fracturing.
I wouldn't be surprised that you didn't get a response, one it was only a day and you have a 2 wheel drive. I would say that's pretty rare and/or just not right.
i installed a 2" poly kit 1 1/2 years ago it seams to be holding up good under the diesel engine. one note tho you will also need 4* camber bushings to get it aligned.
Thank you, guys. It's my work truck. But at same time I don't ride on 20's and would like to see it more level, than it is right now. Cooljman1 where did you get camber bushings>
i got them from napa the part number is NCP2643950. also mabie your truck will be different but i had to do some grinding on the knuckle and the axle beam to be able to set it at -4* camber. <table width="435"><tbody><tr><tr><td style="color: White;" valign="top" align="left">

I went with the 2.5" leveling kit from shockwarehouse that includes the Bilstein springs and shocks. Then I put on the ReadyLift radius arm drop brackets and the ride and drive is amazingly better. I would definitely recommend that combo.
I'm happy with my Rancho kit. Had it on since the truck had 10K. Look for something with a complete spring replacement. Personally, I don't like add-a-leafs. The Rancho's had 8 leafs per side, as opposed to the factory 2 per side. I didn't need camber bushings, but I did install a fully adjustable trac bar. My setup is still working great, even running 35s and a heavy *** grille guard. Never had any alignment issues.
