new 6.0 first timer
this is the first diesel i've ever owned. i like it so far. 06 f 350 sup cab xl 142wb fx4 6.0 6 spd manuel, manuel hubs, manuel transfer case, 3.73. 3" leveling kit with rancho 5000 shocks, 17" 9.5" alloys with bead lock rings. 305/70/17 (34"od). goodyear mtr mud terrains. (great tires). bushwacker fender cut outs and piaa lights. i avg 18 mpg so far. i pulls my toy hauler like if it was a feather!!!!! there is so much to learn about this beast. hopefully this forum will be helpful.
one thing is that this machine pulls like a monster. the other is it's off road capabilities. i wish it had a locking front and rear differential, (maybe soon), otherwise it does awesome, specially when i air down to 15 lbs. the low gear in the trans and the transfer case are nasty!!!!!!!! i crawled down a quarter mile of the roughest terrain i've ever encountered in my off roading lifetime and the beast just grabbed the earth by the *****!!!!!!!!!!!! diesel, low gears, air downed tires, you are good to go. (can't wait for my lockers!).
