Power Windows

I need some help with this one. I have a 97 Lariat F150 4.6 4x4 auto w/ 182250mi. Here is the situation, when I shut the truck off and pull keys out my windows can still go up and down. Is this a normal thing.

P.S. if I open the door the windows don't work. I am thinking it has something to do with the accesories.

I have a 97 Lariat 2wd and the drivers window will go down only for a short period after the key is removed. I don't know about the passenger side window.

There is a timed relay circuit that keeps the windows energized until the timer times out.

The windows/sunroof will remain operational for 30 seconds or until you open your door, whichever comes first.

Normal Operation and Nice Feature

I love this feature! In my '97 F-150, the timer allows the windows to operate for about 5 minutes. I use it all the time when I'm waiting for someone or whatever. I just roll down the window(s) and wait, I don't have to turn the ignition to roll them up.
