Edge Evolution vs. DP Tuning
I had to remove my 4 postion dp tuning chip to fill up all 6 positions with tunes and while I have it out I plugged the edge back in and....
Disadvantages
1) I have noticed a much more sensitive throttle.
2) A LOT more black smoke, and its slower on level 2 than Jodys tow tune!
3) I also noticed how much louder it is and how rough it gets at higher rpms, and I can only get 23 psi out of it too!! (26psi from Jodys extreme tune)
Advantages
1) The only thing I like about the Edge is that it wont turn up the fuel when the engine is cold, it has to reach the 1st mark on the "normal" water temp gauge.
Anyone in the market for a programmer or chip take a look at DP tuning or Tony Wildman before you spend your money.

I agree. I got Tonys chip in the 94 and a superchip tuner in the 96 right now. About all that tuner does is make alot of black smoke. And I also noticed the noise and roughness you mentioned. The chip from Tony in my 94 is very smooth and quiet. Not to mention alot more power!
