Talent? Bah. My dash came out ugly as sin. It's much better than the last four attempts, but it's still ugly. Probably why I haven't put the computer in it yet.
I think your's came out REALLY nice. Looks like you put vinyl on it, very nice!
Dude thats a very nice console!! I like the shaping of the cup holders. I was looking at the same style for a guage cluster down there in my truck, the shape is perfect.
I really appreciate the kind words. It was my very first attempt at that sort of thing.
I still like Frederics better. Especially with adapting the digital gauges and all. I still can not figure out how to do that, or how to get my whole dash out.
The back seat part should be better though. I have an extended cab and I tossed the back seat. so the whole thing will be speakers, amps, crossovers, etc. If I had the money for an extra xbox I would put one of those in as well.
I will take photos of my build as I go along and keep everyone posted.
As brave as Frederic is ( ) I would keep your stock dash, that cosole looks good with it (too bad its the older 87-91 interior) That sonsole would look great in my red 94 interior
Is the slot below the screen made for a stereo deck or dvd player?
The cupholders are actually pieces of 3" pvc. The surrounds are just small wooden rings raised on little standoffs and then covered with fiberglass resin (with kittyhair) and smoothed up with Bondo.
Then I covered the top and half way down the side with vinyl and the bottom half with carpet.
I am planning on covering my door panels with the same vinyl.
