But you really need to insure that both cam and ignition timing is correct. It sounds like the chain is stretched or jumped a tooth. Do you know how to test for this?
Also, if it is lean, and it may not be, first make sure that the float level is correct before you start changing jets. Also be certain that there are no vacuum leaks too.
Timing is your best bet for the problem. If and when it's correct, and you still have the same problem then probably a lean condition is occuring as suggested. Fuel pressure definately would be a good candidate for that, at idle probably should be around 32 psi and 40 as you get closer to wide open throttle. Your stock fuel pressure regulator should have a vacuum line on it. Dirty fuel filter could be a cause for poor fuel pressure, but not likely at idle. You also might try pulling the codes of the computer, they may help verify the lean condition problem.
