4x4 disconnect?

4x4 disconnect?
Do these F-150's, 97-03, have a disconnect at the wheels for the four wheel drive axle shafts, or do they keep turning even when in 2wd?

The system is known as a center or differential disconnect. The front wheels, hubs and axles continue to turn - even when the truck is not in 4x.
There's a shift fork at the differential that manipulates, when operated by vacuum motors, a collar to engage the front differential.
