P1211 ICP Not Controllable - Pressure Abow/Below Desired
or
P1212 ICP Voltage Not at Expected Level ?
those are two popular ones, and replacing the ICP sensor usually fixes them. it can also be from a tuned engine that uses more oil pressure to make more power, and it senses an unusually low pressure and throws a code. can also be from a weak HPOP. the rectangular part of the HPOP you see at the top is the reservoir that feeds the pump, and that is at normal oil pressure. (low pressure pump). it should be right at engine oil temperature, because it's coming straight from the pan i believe.
Yeah Stroke, it's the first code. I'm leaning toward the HPOP goin' south. The loud knock usually associated with injector #8 seems to be coming from the HPOP itself. I completely detuned the engine, now the waiting game for codes.
As far a driveability, the truck is acting a little strange. The surging I mentioned, and an occasional cut-out of power. This just started happeneing today after I washed the truck. I did clean the engine bay, but I use dielectric spray then a little no touch to brighten things up a little.
Did you actually drop some water on it and see it fizzle?
That's WAY too hot. I would replace that thing before it grinds itself up and sends shavings toward your injectors. You'll have a huge accumulation to clean out of the HPOP rails.

Yea - not to mention that thing is like right next to fuel lines, and UNDER a plastic cover!! I'd get that thing changed ASAP!!
