programer for f150

I'm thinking of getting the Edge Evolution for my f150 and was wondering if it is a good programer of if I should get a different one.

I did some reading awhile ago, and that one that Sherm got is supposed to be pretty slick.

The name slipped my mind right now though.

The one thing I like about the Edge, is all the stuff you can monitor. They clain 35hp and 50ftlbs of torque on the highest level.

i like my SCT xcal3, it also has the ability to monitor stuff but not with a nice pod like the edge. i've heard some negative things about the edge (unsure of what they were). SCT also has a unit with a pod similar to the edge, but it might be a little more money. email Mike @ 5-star tuning, he's a FTE sponsor, and a super good guy to deal with!!!

Thanks for the tip Sherm, Do you remenber how much the x-cal was. Right now I can get the edge evo for $385 with free shipping.

One thing that is always said about the edge products is they are "generalized" tuning (if that makes any sense)

I have buddies with them, and they like them though. Not sure exactly what models they all have though, various ones.

i think mine cost me +/- 10 dollars of that, with free shipping also, but that was when our dollar was around 85 cents. the SCT is a better unit i think, with the options of always upgrading to custom tunes if you wish. SCT also has a unit with the dash display, called the "livewire" i believe, but its a little more money than the X3, or edge. just from the superb customer service from mike and SCT, i'd definately say you should give Mike a call and see what they can do for you on the X3 or Livewire... tell him you're a member of FTE as well.
