I'm looking to swap a C6 automatic into a truck and someone mentioned something to me that may cause an issue. Right now the truck has an NP435 in it with a slip yoke, so i know it has a 28 spline output shaft.
I was under the impression that all slip yoke 4x2 fords had 28 spline output shafts, but was told that the C6 uses a 31 spline output and was wondering if this was true.
I'm still waiting on the C6 so I can't just go out and count splines.
I knew I was going to have to get a driveshaft for it, but am trying to figure out if the slip yoke out of the NP435 will work on the C6 or if I'm going to have to find a C6 slip yoke.
If it makes a difference, the C6 is out of a 1967 Thunderbird 390.
