06 missing after interstate driving?

Just wondering if anybody has had to take their truck in for what seems like a miss after driving it, coming to a stop and in park. I commute 35 miles each way for work. When I get to either destination and put it in park, it is missing enough to feel the truck shaking.

Anybody experience this?

The truck is that dealer right now for several issues. Free oil change, tow hook installation, new inspection sticker I was supposed to get at purchase, the miss, back brake vibration, howling from front end at interstate speeds... I think that is it.

They are replacing some back brake parts, didn't really ask what. I just talked to the service advisor. They hadn't found anything wrong with the way it is running. I know it is missing.

Other than a couple of small issues that will hopefully be resolved soon, I'm really enjoying this truck.

I Have A 06 King Ranch 5.4l V8 And I Have Only Experienced This Once, Last Week. I Was On My Way To Birmingham And We Stop To Pay A Toll And It Started To Shutter. That Was The Only Time It Did It And It Has Not Done It Since. I Thought Maybe It Was Due To The Intake, Exhaust And Edge I Have Installed. But Obviously It Was Not If Others Are Having The Same Problem. Let Me Know What The Dealer Says.

missing

If you go to the Ford web site and look for recalls follow the instructions and you should find out something about that problem . I just read something about that on the reclls or TSB report

The back brake parts are new backing plates most likely, being replaced for sticking E-Brake levers. They stick and give off a very bad vibration.

Ironically enough, the vibration didn't start until after I used the e-brake one time.

I'm going to call this morning and see where they are. They have had the truck since Tuesday afternoon. I need it back today. I gotta haul some lumber for this weekend's project... I guess I could strap the lumber to the top of this loner Taurus they gave me to drive.

Thanks for the replies everybody, I'll check the recalls and post what all they found for the stuff I wanted checked.

This happened to me yesterday. I went out for a drive, came home, put it in park and I could feel the shuttering of the engine, like it was a little off. The RPM's were around 400-500 but did not feel like it was going to stall, just shaking a bit.

I have 580 miles on the truck, so this could be the computer working on the break in period. I'm not worried about it unless it is persistent and does nto resolve itself. These engines are pretty high tech on maintaining themselves, so hopefully that is all that is going on.

The eBrake is not causing this particular issue while in park.

I was talking about the brake vibration mentioned in my first post, not the miss/vibration in park.

If they find anything about the miss, I'll let you know.

Thanks for the reply.
