Matt, you can do a double, and a single, "BUT" the problem is the sun visor will hit when you put it down, also the vent that blows on the side window will be blocked. A double fits nicely in the middle of the pilar with no interference. I've heard that a mustang steering colum gauge mount will work on a ranger, if so, there;s your 3rd gauge, and it's also made by autometer. I believe it was 98 to 04 mustangs steering colum was close enough to the ranger for the gauge pod to fit. The only side effect, was that it blocked one of the turn signal indicater lights, for whatever side the gauge is on.
If you wanted, you could hook up a real oil sender to the stock gauge and switch the oil pressure gauge out for a dig alt readout, if you really want the alt gauge.
"Yeh buddy", I was in the same boat, I wanted 3, ended up with 2. It wasn't worth the hassle. But I have a hard time letting things go, I'm sill plotting, planning, and figuring, I would try the mustang thing, but I'm funny about being able to see all my lights, and such. I was gonna do oil pres, water temp, and air-fuel ratio. Deleted air-fuel, I don't need no stinken gauge, just pound on her till see leans out, and blows!! (just kidding!!)
what i want is a turbo kit, then ill want an air to fuel ratio guage. ill post some pics when i get this all done. im aiming to have it match the dash 100% and by the looks its gonna be close
how do u guys install your trans temp guage? did you put it in the pan or in the cooler line? i really need it so weeds and stuff i run over cant mess with it
I wanted the air-fuel gauge, because when you do some engine mods, it can cause a lean condition, but bama took care of that. Besides all that, those gauges are just awsome to stare at, fiber optics, and all, it's sorta like looking at a lava lamp, or something. Sugest you do it while parked tho ha ha !!
