It came from a CCIL 550. It is probally from the early eighties I think it was eithier a 240 industrial or else smaller. I knew at one time. For some reason the number 170 CID comes to mind??????
It`s much too small a motor for a F100, surpised anyone would install it in a full sized half ton. It was designed for Comets, Mavericks and smaller vehicles only were it was great.
The guy who installed it was from Humbolt, (They drive slow and conserative there). It kinda reminds me of the song "I can't drive fifty five".
Too bad my version went "I can't drive fifty five, only goes thirty eight."
I guess thought since I was only 13ish at the time it was like one of those baby quads that rich parents buy for their kids.
(Only difference I had a truck- the cheaper version)
