Wrap around windshield

One thing I belive that the older trucks have is visibality. I think the wrap around windshield was a major benefit that I think companies should have kept. I know from expierence though there is a heafty price tag on a replacement, but compared to a more modern truck I personally would rather have a wrap around windshield.

I wonder why they got rid of them though if it was styling changes or maybe safety.

I agree. Even just from a purely ergonomic standpoint, the wrap arounds were better. I can't say I know about replacement, but maybe someday. Or not.

It depends on the design of the wraparound windsheild. On some vehicles the bend made side view blurry. It also cuts into the door opening.

I feel that on late model trucks the A pillar is huge add a large mirror (dodge) and I find there is a very large blind spot looking forwarrd left.
As for price a new windshield for my 59 as $300.

For a 1958 International it was $450. Which was more then I paid for the truck and all other parts.

That`s what I paid for my 57 F350 plus about $85-90 for the w/s rubber. Where did you get your w/s from?

Speedy is great and that is where I got my w/s and rubber. Harvey on their 8th street location is the best!

I got mine at Speedy on 8th street from Harvey, about $140 if you want to install it yourself. Other wise it`s around $200 taxes in, both prices are for the tinted/shaded w/s.
Odessa maybe a couple of dollars less but too hard to deal with. I will never go back there again for any reason and Harvey/Speedy is just the best to deal with.
