Hi, a friend of mine has a v10 Excursion that he says the coil pack is bad on. Does anyone know the part #'s for them, or possibly a DIY article that I can forward to him? Thanks much.
I do not know the number, but he can save a butt load of money if he goes to ebay and types in "excursion coil" it will send him right to the link to buy. they are 13.95
Napa wants almost $30 a pop. dealer wants $55. Happy hunting
I need to do the same thing and would also appreciate any tips/tricks on installing or where to buy. Ill check ebay. One more thing, the dealer I talked to kept mentioning the #4 coil like maybe each coil was unique. Are they all the same? Sorry I am not an engine expert but am very handy with some basic instructions. I come to this forum for all my auto repair needs and am almost always successful with the info I get here. Thanks in advance.
how about asking down in the v10 forum. as to cost they could be higher .but if you replace the plugs or a coil pack make sure you use new boots at the same time . seems many people fail to do so then still have a miss fire and replace a coil pack that only had a bad boot .
