5.0L balancer ???

I've got a 96' F-150 that i'm building a 331 stroker for and i always see internal and external balance, and also 28oz and 50oz. How do i know what balancer i need?? (crank, rods and pistons are being balenced by the machine shop)

Any stroker that I have seen uses a Zero or 28oz balance. If 28oz. you will need a 28oz. Balancer and a 28oz. Flywheel. If not it will shake and vibrate real bad and quickly tear up the bottom end on you.

You might want to contact the manufacturer/distributor of your stroker crank to ask what balance they use and get the appropriate balancer/flywheel.

I just went through this with a stroker kit I got from Ford Performance Solutions. It was specifically set up for a 28 oz balancer/flexplate combo.

I can be a little more helpfull if I know what transmission you're running.
