Spring Tune Up

I just purchased my 04 350 SuperCab 6.0 about a month ago and I want to do some basic maintence on it, like change the oil and check all the fluids, that sort of stuff. I was wondering what else I should do. I have thought of New glow plugs, Clean the air filter, New fuel filters anything else? Im also driving my truck to florida (from MI about 1300 miles) what should I do before I leave to ensure a good smooth trip?

How many miles on your truck? Maybe fuel filter change, or some flushes, such as transmission or coolant flushes. What does the airfilter intake restriction gauge say on the back of the airfilter housing?

Basic maintenance, oil and filters, drain the HFCM of water and use a fuel conditioner on your trip and while your in Florida. Glow plugs are not a problem with the 6.0 diesel.

Oil & filter change (every 5,000 miles)

Fuel filter(s) change (every 15,000 miles)

Tranny flush & external filter (every 30,000 miles)

Lube steering linkages (every 5,000 with oil change)

Rotate tires (some say 5,000 and some 10,000 miles)

Replace air filter (probably OK, but 30,000 is limit) - every 30,000 miles
