new 18" load E tires!

sorry if this is a repost
just saw BF Goodrich all Terrain T\A KO
LT285\65R18/E
LT305\65R18/E
LT325\65R18/E

these are listed by 4wheel parts
and says call for pricing

any one know--will all of these sizes fit a stock truck with stock wheels?

The 285s will fit with no issues. The 305s should fit, but I can't speak from experience. I think it depends on the front spring rating of your truck.

I'm not seeing them on 4wheelparts' website - maybe I'm just missing something. Nor on BFG's website. I hope you're right, however.

Do they mention a load rating? The Contis are 3640 single... the D-range from BFG is 3195. Maybe the E-range will beat the Contis? If so, BFG stands poised to make a lot of money...

I got an email from BFGoodrich about a month ago stating that this summer/fall there would a number of new tires for 17" and 18" wheel sizes for the SuperDuty (E-load). 4wheel parts may be listing them on the site, but they may not have hit the stores yet.

I just called BFG customer service and spoke with a rep. He stated he thought he'd gotten a bulletin on BFG AT and MTs for new sizes/load ranges. He looked for it and then stated "no" they are not coming out with the new sizes/load ranges for some time, if at all. That's *very* surprising to me though as I received an email stating the opposite, and the demand has got to be huge.

Charlie - that's the D-load-range tire. The claimed version is an E-load range...

Your question about whether these will fit may be answered by comparing them to other size tires.

The 305/65/18 is pretty close to the same overall diameter of the the stock 275/70/18's (.6 " larger) They are slightly wider and most of the specs list them on 9-12" rims. These are about the same size as the 33x12.5R18 tires

The 325/65/18 compares more with the 35x12.5R18 tires. And are 35 inches tall and definitely needs a wider rim than stock.

I can't believe that Ford has shipped this size of tire for 2005 & 2006 model year trucks and we still don't have tire makers stepping up with replacement tires. I'm hoping that by time I wear out my conti's there is some choice of replacements in a "E" range tire.
