backwards driveshaft?
Here's a silly one. I've seen some driveshafts with the slip yoke at the axle and some with it at the transfercase. Which way should it be?Also I don't have it on my highboy but I've seen advertised a trasfercase brace. Was this a stock part?

I'm pretty sure that the slip yolk should be at the transfer case, I've never ever seen them any other way, you may have seen a custom driveline someone had made. As far as the brace, my highboy does not have one either.

I had a 79 F150 4x4 short box that had the slip yoke at the rear axel. The front of the driveshaft had a cv joint ( I think thats what it was called) where it hooked up to the t-case. I was told that most if not all short boxes and broncos had this setup due to the short wheel base and the increase angle of the drive shaft. The cv joint allowed for extra articulation of the drive shaft. The first time I saw it I thought it was in backwards.
