i moved 11 times in 9 years while in the Navy, now that i m out, i look around and everything is still staged to go into my fleet of rubbermaid containers. and looks like it will be another move this year to a different flat or hopefully a house! then that is it!........for a couple of years at least!
Before we bought our house, we were in an apartment, and couldn't take possession for 2 months. Tried to save money on rent, so we moved our stuff into a storage unit, we moved into our respective parents house, and two months later, moved our stuff from the storage unit into our house.
That was a pain, but not what we are up against for the next few months.
My wife's parents have to move at the end of the month. I clearly remember moving them in 5 years ago, with a 20 year old 50" big screen tv. They will be having a yard sale to sell some of their accumulated junk, but they want to keep the tv. I think they should sell the thing for whatever they can get, and buy a new tv like what we got, that only weighs 90 lbs.
Oh yeah. They have a cube van rented for only 6 HOURS!!! Why not a full day I don't know.
Then, my sister in law and her family got their rental sold out from under them, so they got 60 days. They won't be as bad as the parents, but they got a lot of stuff too.
Yes Moving is Definitely a Bummer, You can spread out the chore of Packing but it's all that extra stuff you collected along the way. Does come or does it hit the Garbage Can.
