squeaky front end
how do i fix/repair a squeaky front end? whenever i turn or go over some bumps at a slow speed, my 99 ranger squeaks as if something needs to be lubed. some people say i need anti seize compound for the sway bar frames.....before i take it to a mechanic, what kind of information should i provide as giving him a heads up with it. is it gonna be expensive? what can i expect? thanks.

Why don't you crawl under there yourself, grab the truck, rock it side to side a bit and try to determine the source? There are so many possibilities that it's almost impossible to guess without actually being there and looking at it. I would focus on suspension components and the shocks.

When you crawl under there have a can of white lithium spray grease, have a buddy bounce on the front and rear bumper, then spray heavily any bushing that sounds as if it may be squeaking.
