I would make sure and check for any leaks around the air intake, recheck all you're fittings also check and make sure you didn't possibily knock a vacuum line or hose off during install. Is the cel on if it is go to autozone and get the code pulled. Mike.

i have noticed this too and iv tried everything from changing plugs, boots, 4of8 COPs, fuel filter (helped a little) still hasnt completely gone away, im going to try replacing all 8 COP with Granatelli Motorsports COP w/ Connectors

I also have upgraded my whole intake system MAF,CAI,TB,TBS, and only exhaust i have done is 50 series flowmaster, im thinking that could be part of the problem. Any ideas anybody?

yes the "Service Engine Soon" light is on now too, from what 2 mechanics tell me, i've got to get it chipped or get an edge product so I can get richer air to fuel mixture. They said with that done the motor will really come to life.

Nah, it should be OK, just the way it is. Check for vacuum leaks.

Clean the MAF. Could be you got some dirt/oil on it with the new intake.

There are rubber pieces Ford used for the PCV and other vacuum lines that deteriorate like you wouldn't believe. Check all the vacuum lines ... and especially elbows.

Dave, a MAF will definitely require a tune...

There is 2 senors in the intake tube, which one is the maf sensor?? the one that was in the old air box setup or the one that was closer to the throttlebody in the pipe?

If you went with a bigger MAF, you need a custom tune, based on the MAF.

Call Hypertech and ask them if they have a special tune for whatever MAF you used. Chances are, they just might!

Either that, or it's time to go to a shop with a dyno and pay the $'s to get it tuned right.

When was the last time that you changed your plugs? It could be a misfire and replacing the plugs might solve it.

The MAF is the large one that was in the factory airbox. The IAT is the small one that goes into the side of the tube.
