Does anyone know about a "propane leak test" to check for vacuum leaks? My 99 f150 has been driving me crazy with the p0174 code. I have checked just about everything I can think of to find a source of a leak. I did read on here once that there is a propane leak test to find possible sources of leaks. I tried spraying starter fluid around the intake and TB but nothing changes. Just wont stop having a rough idle. Everything else great. Anyone have any ideas? -Bamadoc.

After searching forever and checking just about everything under the hood in search of my p0174 error code...I bought a used MAF sensor off e-bay for 10 bucks and out goes the light. Mind you that this was after checking for correct ground, line voltage and output voltages. I had cleaned the old one 3 or 4 times. Moral of the story is dont dont trust components that give correct output voltages? I dunno, all that matters is that it works and the error code has stayed off for 200 miles so far. _Bamadoc

It takes two consecutive drive cycles with the fault in order to turn on the CEL.
Keep your fingers crossed but be prepared to see the CEL come back since a faulty MAF should affect BOTH banks, not just one.
