84 F-150 300 engine swap

I have a 4x4 F-150 with the straight six 300 engine. I repaired the body about two years ago and it looks great, but now it is time to do something about the engine. It leaks like a sieve (I think from the main bearings).

What are my best options? Should I have this engine rebuilt? Should I swap it out? If so, with a 300 or a 302 or what? I am more concerned reliability and gas mileage than horsepower.

Rebuild the 300 it will outlast the 302, plus it will probably cost you less to rebuild the motor you have than to buy another and rebuild it. I personally prefer the 300 over the 302 in a truck.
