lower pitman arm seal replacement

How do you go about replacing the lower pitman arm seal on a 1984 f-150. Do anyone have any diagrams of this part. Do you need any special; tools. A link to a web site would be great .

I already have the repair kit. But not sure what it entails to repair.

Is it the grease seal on the tierod end or the seal on the steering gear box? If it is the gearbox leaking you might as well replace it, Id be willing to bet it has a good amount of wear and slop in it. The box is not hard to change, you will want an extra set of hands to help you get it bolted into the truck. I replaced mine last summer, the gf helped me we had it done in an hour. If you would rather replace the seal you will need to remove the pitman arm to gain access to it. Either way you go you will need a pitman arm puller type tool.
