Transmission Guage

I just ordered my single gauge pod and bullydog transmission tem gauge today. I read some prev. posts and it looks like a pretty simple install. Can't wait to get it in. Pulling some bigger hills this summer thought it only made sense.

Better get yourself a big and nasty cooler now....because your about to see how hot you have been running poor thing. I have a old style 8 pass (rated 40K GCWR) and I still get mine hot. Im going to go with a thermostatic fan/cooler combo for this summer. For now its still cold out, and I am not towing, and I am quite lazy....so I'll wait another month or two.

I just installed my gauge a few weeks ago. I had read where some folks had problems with the sensor bottoming out when they installed it in the test port (just forward of the shifter) and had the sensor break off inside the transmission. I checked the depth on mine before I screwed the sensor in by inserting a drill bit the same diameter as the sensor in the test port. Mine had plenty of depth for the sensor. You may want to check the depth if you plan to install the sensor in the test port.
