Ordered Bilstiens today!!!

I got some Bilstiens on the way to go on the 2wd EX. I hope they make a difference with the new sway bar. I thought the stock shock feel a little loose at 40K so I'll replace and take the advise and give Bilstien a try. I'll post the relsults when I get them on.

right on man, almost any shocks are better then the stock ones. Mine sucked, I always wondered how the ride is on the 2wd? we all know the stock 4x4 suspension on these things is a pain in the you know where. how much travel does the 2wd have opposed to the 4x4 (in the front)have you checked? b4 my lift I had like 2" or maybe less.

I have driven a 4-wheel and I would have to say the 2wd rides a little better. The reason I am repacing shocks is I tow with this thing and I want it to be stable. I had a 3/4 suburban before this and I think the ride was a little more firm. Sounds like everyone here has replaced their shocks before 50K miles.

Changed them out today and noticed a big change in firmness. It does not seem as "floaty" as it was before. The two front originals were shot! Back two were marginal. The new shocks I had to compess with both arms and have my son slide in the bottom bolts to install. Took about an 1hr for all 4.
