hey guys...
i have an 02 f350 5.4...i put a k and n drop in filter and a magnaflow muffler on over the last weekend. drove the truck on sunday all day hauling wood and then coming to work monday the check lite came on. any ideas??? i went to auto zone yesterday and the guy said there were no codes stored, but the lite it on? any help would be appreciated, the lite is bugging the #@$% out of me...
Had you disconnected the battery when doing your upgrades?
problably a p1000 code which the guy at autozone new it wasn't a problem code.
Or the guy didn't know how to use the scanner.
which happens alot.
Disconnect the battery again and see if the light comes back ,then get it scanned again.
get the codes and we can help
I have a list of possible problems but without codes you'd be chasin your tail.

on edit:
Sorry Mr Big ,didn't know you were on the case here,we were typing at the same time
i unhooked the battery last nite...still came on this morning. im going to a buddy's shop to have him check it. ill get back to you later or tomorrow about the code/problems. i just though someone else may have had a similar problem after exhaust and kn...thanks
Chk all your connections at the maf
and any vacum hoses you may have knocked loose in the engine compartment.
Save yourself before your buddy rips you (makes jokes on you) not the money rip.
Rich Hey Mr Big wake up
i got codes p1000, and p1633 - which says something about voltage too low? any suggestions?
P1633 Keep Alive Power Voltage Too Low : This I am uncertain. Could it be the alternator/regulator output??? Sorry, but no help here.
P1000 OBD-II Monitor Testing Incomplete : This can be reset with no issues. Once reset...then drive for 40 - 60 miles for the PCM to complete its testing mode. That is done each time the battery has been disconnected. You should not be concerned.

Have you checked all the fuses? This is a sign that maybe the PCM is going bad if you've not tampered with it in some way. Even if you unhook the battery this one may come right back. May want to let a shop diagnose it on a tester.
