We sleep one third of our lives. So lets take the example of a 10year marriage and crunch some numbers. Some of us commute an hour a day total to work. A lot of us work an 8 hour day, plus the half hour for lunch. We should add in a half hour a day for misc such as bathroom, traffic, old friends, adultery, grocery shopping or picking noses...
Sleep equals 8 hours gone from 24
work equals 8 and a half gone from 24
An hour for commuting equals 1 out of 24
and a half gone from 24
8 + 8 + 1 + 1/2 = 17 and 1/2 hours per day you don't spend aware of your partner
which leaves 6 and a half hours per day for "marriage time"
so a 10 year marriage is 365 days times 10 = 3650 days
I could do a whole bunch more math or I could just round it out to a 10 year marriage actually equals 2 years and 8 and a half months of time spent awake with and aware of, your partner.
You forgot to mention that in the Marriage time continuum, time actually slows at a ratio of 8:1. One month may have passed in marriage time but eight months passed in reality. Thus 10 years feel like exactly that. Some marriages work at much higher ratios, by the way. I have heard many accounts where one month can equate to many years. I have been married for 12yrs now and recommend it.
you know dono, you're always rushing into things. Why don't you slow down for once and think about what you're getting into? You know, before you're really locked down.

I told my wife that I am like a fine wine and mayonnaise .... I get better with age and was meant to be spread around. She said I was more like beer and mayonnaise ...... I go flat after a short time and get rancid with age. As Rodney Dangerfield said, "I get no respect".

So, is that a half hour of adultery every day? or several weeks of it once every couple years? Enquiring minds want to know.
sheesh after 19 years I am running a serious deficit in my adultery time!
Looks like I have 3467 hours banked so far.. is this like the government where when I retire, I can use up my banked vacation?

well, I figured I'd alot a half hour per day for whatever habits people had that they feel they must do everyday. to some people those might be showering or walking the dog or making mudpies on the lawn in the rain, you know, normal everyday stuff
