Angry Stuck In Driveway.

Spent over 2 hours getting my truck out of the mud in my driveway. It has a low spot and usually just drive around it in the spring time. This time the bog monster reached up and pulled the back of the truck in and then the front.
Truck sinking in mud, scrambled for wood and such to put under the wheels.
Could not get my Bobcat out of the shop, blocked it in this weekend with furniture from a friend helping to store for a week.
So had to use the jackall a million times and wedge stuff under the tires. Finally got unstuck by 5 tonight.
I looked like a relation to the bog monster that pulled me in.
I got to call the R.M. office tomorrow. The road coming to my place is under water now. I do not feel like getting stuck there also, and all the water is flowing over my driveway. This happens every spring, but the road is getting lower every year, they have to do something and build it back up.

I got stuck today going for a load of gravel on the gravel pit road. There were two roads going in and I took the high one which was good untill I came around the corner and there was a C---y van parked across the road to prevent traffic from running over the water pump hose draining the low road. I tried going around it, it was too soft and all clay. Luckly the payloader was working just around the corner.

That sucks. Why couldn't they put down some planks to drive over the hose or build up the gravel. someone was not thinking there.

Basically they are almost shut down because of the road bans that are now on. It would have been a good idea for me to call ahead but it was a quick load of gravel for a nieghbour and I am so used to going in there that I didn`t think about it. I was happy that the loader was nearby and pulled me out.
Too bad about your Bobcat being buried in the building behind the furnature, it would have got your truck out in a hurry.

Yeah, will be avoiding that soft spot in my yard til it drys up. Have some Bobcat work to do to it later this spring.
Next is to worry about is if the R.M. will build the road to my place up. Every year the road sinks further down. This year it is flooded right across. How much longer can a person on it before they sink on it also.
The other option is to drive an extra 4 miles and go around tothe other roads. Every spring this road has been sagging. Last year it was pretty soft and bouncy.

Hard to say how the Rm will feel about your road. It seems to be an old boys club here, most of the time they will listen but no promises. It maybe even hard to get a culvert put in.

Phoned them today and they are going to look at it and they said they will probally put in a culvert under the road. I don't think a culvert will work on the road there. The water does not flow across, it just rises and eventually covers the road.
Tonight I may find barricades across the road that will not let me go home that way, but to drive around the other roads.

Dad found out a long time ago the best way to get things done was to get elected as a counciler. He tried for years to get the road to the farm graveled (it was gravel at one time but it was almost gone) once he was on council it got gravelled every other year. The only problem with that job was putting up with other peoples complaints. Our farm is at the end of the RM and we dont see the guys around our area to often twice a year to grade the road and this year they didnt' mow the ditches until the end of October.
