Hey all it is I once again with another problem(s) I reveived my amp and subs tested them all out measuring correct ohms went to install amp and connect subwoofers up and I had power going to the amp but no power to the subwoofers I disconnected the subs and checked for power in terminal ports coming out of the amp I had power in 3 ports but one had no power Maybe this could be a problem from having an 8 gauge wire setup maybe its not getting enough juice to it. But I also wanted to replace the power/ground wires I found a pretty good dea on the stup below is the specs on the wires I am looking at...
17ft RCA Male to Male With Remote/Signal Wire
17ft 8 AWG Red Power Wire
3ft 8 AWG Black Ground Wire
25ft 18 AWG Speaker Wire
60 Amp AGU Fuse
8 AWG AGU Inline Fuse Holder
2 Gold Ring Terminals 1 Red 1 Black
2 Gold Spade Terminals 1 Red 1 Black
2 Butt Connectors
10 Cable Ties
3ft Split Loom Tubing
I know I said I have an 8 Gauge wire setup now but I figured this is a setup that is rated 100-1500 watts or should I just go with a 0 gauge wire setup any comments greatly appriciated~Kyle
i would deff highly recomend stepping up the main lead and ground to 4 guage. but this would not cause the amp to not power out. if u cant hook a single speaker up by itself and get something i would deff take the amp to be tested. you might have a bad amp on your hands
please check out the tech folder to read the new post on wireing up subs. there is an awsome link to wireing them
Yes and yes I'm getting power to the amp blue light comes and intercool fan starts (turns off about 10 seconds after I turn the truck off). P.S do you know if there is a bass control **** for these models???
8 gauge should be good for perhaps up to 600 Watts.
Just to confirm you have both RCA's hooked up. gains turned up. filter to Low Pass. speaker wire actually connected to sub inside the box and to connector cup.
