About a month ago my new 2005 Super Duty F-250 was stolen and recovered. The border patrol stopped and caught two people trying to cross the border into Mexico. After getting my truck back and repairing the door and steering column I searched near and far for an anti theft device that really works. I found out that my $900 alarm system did not work! I did my homework this time - (researched and check all devices). I found one called the Ravelco Anti Theft Device. (www.ravelco.com) I purchased one and I had my Ford mechanic install it because Ravelco did not have an installer where I live. Last night, again my truck was broken into. The steering column was destroyed and they even opened up the hood to run new wires to my engine. Thank God my truck was not started and the Ravelco saved the day. This company claims it has been in business for over 30 years with not one theft! I just wanted to let you guys know what I found. The police said the thieves must have used a scanner to unlock my doors because no damage was done to the door handles/latch.
I had the same thing happen only the first time I must have interupted them because I was going to work at about 3am. So they got in but didn't get away. I assume my truck was destined to that $%*^( country too since I live in San Diego or should I say north Tijuana. I ended up getting the viper 791XV responder. It will page you if the alarm is going off and is supposed to be clone safe from code hopping. Haven't had anyone try again though.
Good deuce. Do you live in Arizona. I hear these are getting stolen like hotcakes!! I'm really sorry to hear about your bad luck. Glad you were able to keep your truck. I hope you don't run into too much trouble with all the wiring these morons yanked out
