i have an 01 supercrew with a 5.4 and i am wanting to get an exhaust system put on it. the truck has 100,000 miles and i don't really want to spend more than $500 for one. i have been looking at magnaflow and borla but these systems are real expensive. if any of yal here could help me out on what to get it would be greatly appreciated.

 

look in the phone book and call a local shop and have them price out what you want with your muffler of choice

 

I'd have my local muffler guy rig up his own piping, and you just buy the cat and muffler and tip.

thanks for the help. i'll do what yal said. there is a guy in town here who does some awsome work with exhaust. i think i'm going down there this evening to see what i can get. oh i have another question. is the truck worth putting exhaust on it? i love the sound of them but i'll probably have the truck another 1-2 years. i want it real bad though. thanks again for the replies.

 

sure it's worth it! It'll help sell a few extra people if you do get to selling it. You don't happen to live in the Kansas City area, do you? You'd have to go to Royal Muffler.

thanks for the help. i went and tried to talk to the guy who does it here in town today and he was off. so i am going in the morning to talk to him. i'll let yal know what i do. if i do get one put on i'll try to post some pics and sound clips. thnaks again for the help.
