Unhappy KAM sensor

My question is: is the KAM ( keep alive memory) sensor just that? My 96' f-250 PSD has a strange problem of dying when I let off the trottle coming to and idle it just dies completly. I put a new CAM sensor about a month ago. The trouble code says KAM sensor error but it does not do it all the time about 75% of it. Is this something easy to change?

don't think there is a KAM sensor. what is the code number you get? i would suspect a tps or idle validation switch issue with your problem but let see what that code number is first.

Keep Alive Memory is internal to the engine computer (ECM). The only reason a KAM code would set is if you lost B+ feed/ground to the ECM or there is an ECM fault.
