Power Brakes (different from below)
<hr style="color: rgb(102, 102, 102);" size="1"> i pulled off the complete brake system off my 73 econoline. i have the booster the mounts and the master cylinder, it is the same split master cylinder as i have in my truck.
i should be fine mounting it to my truck and using it. is there any way i can get the needed vacuum off of my 223.
i may put the 302 C-4 from the van into the truck at a later date
If you've a 223 I-6 engine in your truck, nothing in your OEM Brake system is close to being remotely the "same" as the brakes in a 1973 E Series Van. It's a split system.
I agree with Jowilker 100%. . . . . You will be Creating Problems for yourself
A split system to me has 2 independent outlets going to a Proportioning Valve which splits the two lines into three lines, two front wheel brake lines plus a single rear brake line going back to the "Tee" on rear axle hosuing, that services both wheels from the single rear line.
It ends up as 3 application circuits, they would be a L/F, a R/F & Rear circuit. It has to be Balanced after it's bled when a pressure bleeder is not used to bleed it.
