what spline?
I have a 1969 F-100 and I want to put a 4-speed toploader in. This truck has an FE 360 in it, the transmission on it now is a
Warner T-18. What spline is this? And how long is the input shaft?

what spline?
the input shaft is 10 spline. a toploader with a small input shaft will work fine as long as you have a truck bellhousing. if you are using a big-in big-out toploader you will need to change clutch and pressure plate and possibly the bellhousing to accomdate the bigger clutch. jim

any mustang from 67-71 or so with anything but a 428cj or 429cj or boss. galaxies with anything but a 427. those animals got the big spline toploaders. the small spline toploaders are much easier to find than the big spline. try the vintage-mustang.com website or the classified section here and advertise wanting to buy a toploader. david kee in oklahoma specializes in toploaders. find his phone number and give him a call. jim

most mustangs or galaxies or torinos or fairlanes. anything except a 428cj, 429cj, 429 boss, or a 427 car. the big spline toploaders were reserved for the hi-performance cars. post a wanted: toploader ad in the classified section or try vintage-mustangs.com to find one. david kee in oklahoma specializes in them. look up his phone number and give him a call. i don't think you are going to find one in a salvage yard but any of the larger swap meets you could find someone with a transmission that will meet your needs. jim
