I just keep the water running, I have on occasion put the plug in and was going to let the sink fill up but by the time it filled up I was finished shaving.

I experimented with the water run -vs- the sink filling and it did not make much difference either. I run the water while I am cleaning the residual soap off anyway.

I voted for the faucet running thing, but I don't leave it running during, I just turn it on when I need it, then back off.

Shaving does suck.

I have to leave the water running, because the sinks in the dorm don't have operable plugs. At home, I leave the sink full of water. They're both equally effective.

I turn the water on and off when needed. Sometimes I do shave in the shower. My wife can't understand how I can still keep my gotee while shaving in the shower.

Always have shaved in the shower. Although now that I've got a goatee going, I usually do a little precision trimming afterwards when I get access to a mirror.

I keep a 3x5 mirror in the bathroom, that I use for shaving in the shower. The little mirror on the "Excel" handle holder is not much of a mirror anymore...
