A good friend of mine who works deep in the trenches at Ford told me they will be releasing about a year from now a 2008 F150 Dually. He said its more marketing towards the guy whos gotta impress his neighbor than really need of function. The secondary reason for a Dually F150 is for being able to tow bigger 5th wheel trailers. To keep the ride quality that Ford prides itself on they will have air bags instead of leaf springs in the rear. My friend has seen the test mule but of course can't take any pictures of it. More details to come later.
If it is true, I'll snap a picture of it when they are driving it down here by my house. Ford and GM both seem to like Sibley road as a test drive for project vehicles. They just cover them completley in some type of canvas. Take off all the nameplates (mainly on the grills) thats all you can really see. Gotta love working nights in Detroit, its a car lovers dream.
